Josh Rutter, Principal Broker
Josh brings more than a decade of financial, management and real estate experience to Abacus Realty, as well as a living passion for and commitment to the sustainability of our environment and its integration into real estate.
Josh originally came to Bend in 2000 as the General Manager for the Cascade Village Shopping Center, where he managed the redevelopment of this property from a 350,000 s.f. enclosed mall into a 440,000 outdoor shopping center on 42 acres.
Prior to Bend, Josh worked in Santa Barbara for SIMA Corporation, a privately held commercial real estate investment and management firm. At SIMA, Josh was responsible for the asset management of eight properties, including apartments, industrial, office and retail real estate.
He began his career in San Francisco with Certus Asset Advisors, a s ubsidiary of Mellon Bank. At Certus, Josh was responsible for the buy and sell of stable value securities for institutional clients with assets between $5 and $150 million.
Josh holds a BS in Finance with an emphasis in Management from the University of Oregon.
